The College has accommodation consisting of 155 single rooms and 16 double rooms or flats. Linacre is usually able to offer accommodation to all new members for at least their first full year in Oxford.

Linacre does not require its students to vacate their rooms at any time of the year in order to make way for conferences or other visitors - a feature which is a particular advantage to graduate students.

Most accommodation is provided in buildings which involve the use of communal kitchens and bathrooms/shower rooms, except the 2 flats at 189 Iffley Road which have their own self-contained facilities. The new building on the main College site has 32 ensuite rooms. There are limited disabled facilities.

Rents include heating and lighting. The standard period of occupancy is between 1st October and 31st July following. Permission for any variation or extension is by agreement with the Accommodation Manager.

On arrival you will be required to sign a ‘Licence to Occupy’ which states your tenancy conditions. Occupants must agree to pay rent for the period of occupancy. If a one year course is being undertaken, the occupancy period will, where possible, be concurrent with the duration of the course. Rent will be charged monthly in advance.  A deposit of £300 is payable prior to the issue of room keys.

A limited number of basic kitchen utensils are supplied. The rent of college accommodation includes the cleaning of communal areas only, students are expected to clean their own rooms. A washing machine and tumble dryer are provided in each property for the use of tenants. All rooms have telephone sockets and Ethernet connections.

Permission from the University is required to reside more than 25 miles from the City Centre.
