Congratulations to Linacre Old Member, Dr Hani Choudhry (2010), who is the winner of the British Council Professional Achievement Award, 2016. These awards recognise ‘leaders in their fields who have used their experience of studying at a UK university to make a positive contribution to their communities, professions and countries.’
Dr Jane Chanaa has been appointed as Linacre Senior Tutor with effect from September 2016. Jane will work for 50% of her time as Senior Tutor and 50% as the Careers Team Leader at the University Careers Service.
Linacre Fellow Myles Allen, Professor of Geosystem Science at the University of Oxford’s Environmental Change Institute, will join other key figures behind the Paris climate deal at a Public Launch in Oxford Town Hall (5pm, Tuesday 20 September)

Warmest congratulations to Professor Pietro Corsi, Linacre Emeritus Fellow, who has been chosen by the Société de Physique et d'Histoire Naturelle (SPHN) de Genève as the 2016 recipient of the Marc-Auguste Pictet Medal in the History of Science.
The award is made in recognition of his “exceptional contribution to the history of the Philosophy of Science, and the relationships between science, religion and society from the eighteenth to twenty-first centuries”. The Medal will be presented at a ceremony in Geneva this autumn.
