Anthropologist and film maker, Hugh Brody, will present a seminar on 'Representing Bushmen: the case of the ‡Khomani San' on Tuesday, 13th October in the Tanner Room, Linacre College. (Hugh Brody photo © Survival International).
Hugh Brody will show a film he made with the ‡Khomani San of the southern Kalahari, and will speak about his work on their history, language and land rights - work which raised challenging questions about dispossession, poverty, language and cultural identity. This is an opportunity to hear from an anthropologist and film-maker who found himself at the centre of Africa's first Bushman land claim.
Everyone (from Linacre and elsewhere) is invited to join students for this seminar at Linacre on 13th October, and enjoy a glass of wine beforehand.
As seating is limited, and there is much interest in the seminar, please book your place by e-mailing Anne Keene.
