5.3 Disability Support and Allowances

PDF version

The Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) is a UK Government scheme which provides extra financial help for ‘home’ students who have a disability, an ongoing health condition, a mental health condition or a specific learning difficulty like dyslexia.  The procedure for applying for a DSA  is  time-consuming,  so  students  who  are  considering  applying  should  contact  the University’s  Disability  Advisory  Service  as  early  as possible. They can also contact Linacre’s Associate Dean, Dr Catherine Walter.
