Conservation and Development in India: Reimagining Wilderness
Congratulations to Dr Shonil Bhagwat (1997), Linacre Adjunct Fellow and Senior Lecturer in Geography at The Open University, on the publication of his recent book, Conservation and Development in India: Reimagining Wilderness, published by Routledge in the Earthscan Conservation and Development series. The book features chapters by leading scholars in India, the UK and USA who address the challenges and conflicts of nature conservation versus economic development and poverty alleviation in India, at a time of massive growth in the Indian economy. Their insights also have global relevance.
