Welcome to the website for Linacre Boat Club. First established in 1969, the boat club has long been a key part of the college's sporting and social life, and this tradition is still going strong. We hope that, whether you're a fresher (or existing college member) interested in finding out more about rowing, or a current or former boat club member who wants to find out the latest news and events, there'll be something on this site for you.

Christ Church/Christmas Dinner
To celebrate our inevitable success at Christ Church Regatta, and also
to toast the Christmas season with our senior rowers, we will be having
a formal dinner on Monday, Nov. 30th at the University Club. We will
have a 2-course meal (main + dessert) and it will be bring-your-own
wine. The cost for this event will be £16.50, which is a good deal for
a posh meal with all your favorite boaties (the men's and women's side
of the boat club will both be attending). You can even bring a guest if
you like, too. Dress code will be jacket & tie/cocktail dress.
Payment will be via battels for Linacre members, and cash/bank transfer
to me for non-Linacrites. Confirm your attendance (+any guest) and your
menu choices here:

And I will then contact you about payment if you are not a Linacre
member. (Note:Linacrites bringing a guest will be charged on battles
for their guests meal). Money is due in advance of the dinner, on the
12th of November.

We’ve also got two sessions to let you get the feel for rowing in a dry land situation, using the University’s rowing tank, at the Iffley road gym. Due to popular demand, we have to limit places, so please sign up early!
