Linacre Boat Club is delighted to be hosting the Michaelmas Novice Regatta 2022, formerly the Christ Church Regatta, from Wednesday to Saturday of 7th week: 23rd – 26th November. Racing is scheduled to take place from 12pm until 3pm during the weekdays and from 11am on Saturday.

The format is a two-lane side-by-side race of approximately 650m, rowed upstream from the Greenbank to the Finish Stone. All are welcome to attend the presentation of prizes for the winners of the regatta, directly following the final, at approximately 3pm on Saturday November 26th. On Saturday, the bar at the Linacre Boathouse (the far end of Boat House Island, in Christ Church meadow) will be open to everyone. Drinks and snacks will be sold and there will be a great view of the races.

Linacre JR Fellow and Regatta Captain, Fergus Cooper, says of the event; “Linacre Boat Club is delighted to be giving back to the rowing community by organising this year’s event. For many participants, this will be their first ever race, and novice racing is guaranteed to be exciting to watch!
