We are pleased to annouce that Dr Shadreck Chirikure is the recipient of this year’s ACU Visiting Fellowship at Linacre College.
Dr Chirikure will join us from the Department of Archaeology at the University of Cape Town, where he is an Associate Professor.
Dr Chirikure will present the College’s second Association of Commonwealth Universities Lecture on the evening of Thursday 4th May, and will deliver a talk entitled “Was the population density of Great Zimbabwe (CE1000-1700) similar to that of modern day Hong Kong?”. During the lecture he will address this question using demographic population back projection, materials analyses and chronological information.
