One of our students, Gabriel Moreno, has won the runner-up prize for best postgraduate idea in the All-Innovate final. All-Innovate is Oxford’s inter-college competition for students to pitch their entrepreneurial ideas, so with many other teams to compete against, we are very pleased that a Linacre team has successfully won one of the top prizes.

Gabriel’s company is called Fiquetex and has developed and patented a 100% biodegradable and sustainable range of textiles for various sectors of industry. This includes a vegan leather, the materials for the making of carryon bags, and cleaning sponges/scouring pads for everyday use. They are hoping to solve animal abuse issues, pollution as well as waste issues, social issues, and awareness issues.
