Congratulations to Dr Annis May Timpson (1977), who has been appointed Director of Education and Senior Tutor at St John’s College, Cambridge. She will be directly responsible for academic strategy and policy at St John’s and will oversee both the education and welfare of students at the College.
A former Director of Canadian Studies at the University of Edinburgh, Dr Timpson is a leading UK authority on contemporary Canada, and its relations with its Indigenous communities. Prior to becoming a Fellow at St John’s, she was a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London.
