Domus Prize 5th July 2014

From a long list of candidates, six presentations were made to an audience of students, Old Members and guests attending the summer Gaudy. Prizes of £500 each were awarded according to the number of votes cast by the audience.

The Busuttil prize (specifically in Business, Criminology, Government, International Relations, Law or Politics) was won by Andrew Faull, whose presentation was titled Fighting for respect: Violence, masculinity and legitimacy in the South African Police Force.

There were two Fung Family prizes, awarded to Sam Leigh for Reshaping ‘Shangri-La’: Reconstructing identity online among the Tibetan diaspora and to Michael Senior for Elucidating the mechanism of a virulent protein.

Runners-up prizes were awarded to those who made the short list but did not win.

Thanks go to all who made presentations, the audience and to the donors.
