On April 24th and 25th Linacre took part in the University’s 4th biennial European Alumni Reunion, held this year in Vienna. 21 attendees came to a dinner on Friday 24th at Restaurant Leupold, thanks to Dr Pia Vogler (2006) who kindly researched Viennese restaurants for us. Professor Carolyn Gianturco (1967) gave a fascinating after-dinner talk: ‘Things are not always what they seem: A closer look at Mozart’s rapport with his father, his wife, and Salieri’. On the following day, after the Academic Programme held at Schönbrunn, some Linacre members enjoyed a walking tour and a convivial cheese fondue to refuel.
