Congratulations to Dr Catherine Walter, Vice Principal at Linacre College, who has won the OUSU Student Award for Outstanding Senior Member for her work with Linacre Ladies that Lift. The OUSU Student Awards have been created to celebrate the achievements of people like Catherine, who have put a lot of time and effort into improving the experience of students at Oxford.
Linacre Ladies that Lift train weekly as the women’s section of the Linacre Weightlifting Society, and compete in the British Drug-Free Powerlifting Federation, often with impressive results! Catherine has set both European and World records in her age/weight category. Pictured above are Catherine (centre) and fellow LLL members at the recent East Midlands Divisional Championships, where four Ladies achieved personal records and two qualified for the National Full Power Championships in March.
